You may know us from an earlier chapter.

Daniel Hammond began under the name Plush, with a devoted following of customers who fell in love with our specialty knitwear and cashmere pieces in person at our Provincetown flagship.

Reintroducing the brand under the designer’s own name reflects our mission to help customers build a deeply personal relationship to what they wear. Making this change gives us room to explore, experiment, and grow alongside you, the people who wear it.

Daniel Hammond, the brand’s eponymous founder and designer, began writing his story in fashion early on.

A graduate of Parson’s School of Design, Hammond began his career in New York as a textile design assistant at Emmanuel/Emmanuel Ungaro. He soon established himself as an independent designer, working across New York, Paris, and Hong Kong.

Over the years, he led creative direction and licensing design for brands including Nautica, Oscar de la Renta, and Perry Ellis, while also developing private label collections for retailers such as Barneys New York, Lord & Taylor, and Saks.

After devoting himself to the craft of others' businesses, he was ready to create from his own vision, launching what would become Daniel Hammond in 2021.

Hammond now resides full-time in Provincetown, Massachusetts, where he designs and collaborates with a team of local designers and artisans, creating limited-edition garments that reflect his commitment to craftsmanship and individuality.

Giving Back

Daniel Hammond is committed to giving back and supporting organizations that make a clear and long-term impact on our local community. Through special events, sponsorships and direct outreach, we work with non-profits who provide both social and cultural services in Provincetown and Cape Cod.

Each year, we partner with local Provincetown artists and designers to host our season opening event, FIRST LOOK, a celebration of art, design, and community. More than just a gathering, this event is an opportunity to give back, with proceeds supporting regional non-profits that make a real difference.

By working locally, we hope to give back to the people and places that inspire us every day. Join us in making a difference.
